Westmill to Seal Up Bessemer Dryer
Westmill Industries is proud to announce that it will rebuild a Coe M-62 Veneer Dryer for Bessemer Plywood Corp. of Bessemer, Michigan. Westmill will totally replace the lower section of the Coe Dryer’s exterior, in order to seal up the Dryer and increase efficiency. Westmill will raise the Dryer off of the concrete floor, and install a new stainless steel seal welded and insulated floor above the concrete. The existing doors and door frames will be removed, and Westmill will supply pre-fabricated door frame modules, that will be seal welded to the existing remaining framework. The new floor is tied into the existing conveyor frame and new door frames. New doors and Westmill’s patented articulating door hardware will also be installed to the Dryer. The Bessemer Dryer will also feature Westmill’s new “Quick Change” door seal. Unlike standard fabric tadpole seals, Westmill’s new D-profile stainless seal can withstand direct exposure to fires without burning up. The seal is easily replaced in under 5 minutes, rather than 2 hours for tadpole seals.
