Westmill Industries is proud to announce the sale of a Veneer Dryer rebuild to Richmond Plywood (Richmond, British Columbia, Canada).
Westmill's scope of supply will be as follows:

- Extend the Dryer hot section by 21 feet, and supply two brand new cooling sections complete with conveyor.
- Supply new doors, door frames, and upper duct for entire Dryer.
- Supply a brand-new gas heating system, complete with state of the art Low-NOx gas burners, to minimize environmental impact.
- Supply new stainless steel insulated floor, crowned for water drainage
- Supply of new hot section fans, and supply of new Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) for each of the four hot section fans, plus VFD's for the cooling section fans
- PLC panel, Dryer control, and automation
Westmill's Patrick Dronsky will manage the project on behalf of Westmill. This will be Mr. Dronsky's second major Dryer project for Richply, as he was the Project Engineer for Richply's six-deck Jet Dryer installed in summer 2002. “I am very excited to work with Richply and especially Doug Scott (Plant Manager) again”, says Patrick. “I haven't worked for a better client. Richply's project team is very knowledgeable and is committed to working with the machinery supplier. I know all of our energy will be spent on a common goal, as we all have a big stake in the project's success”.
Installation is scheduled for May 2004 and is expected to take sixteen days. Weslink Construction of Kelowna BC will do the installation.
