Westmill develops & installs fastest Veneer Vacuum Feeder available today
Westmill was approached by Dave Cooper, Veneer Superintendent at Sunpine Forest Products, Rocky Mountain House Alberta and asked to help increase dryer production. Firstly, by simply installing Westmill's over-lappers for under $1000 USD per deck, a 5 % gain in production was immediately realized. This improvement took 1 day to install and immediately paid for itself while setting new production records from the first day in operation. Secondly, Westmill replaced Sunpine's 4 year old Vacuum Feeder with Westmill's "Quick-Vak" pendulum design Vacuum Feeder. Our feeder is very simple, inexpensive and relatively maintenance free. We had to guarantee that it would operate at a feed rate of at least 20 feeds per minute, and it did that easily on the first day in operation.
